My Story in Full Colour
As an Artist
I’m a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and creative professional based in the ACT, Australia. Working primarily in mixed media, I weave together photography, collage, paint, digital processes, and found materials to create work that is visually layered and emotionally resonant.
My creative voice is shaped by more than four decades of lived experience. As a neurodivergent person and long‑term carer to two neurodiverse adult sons with complex medical needs, my life experiences deeply inform my work. Themes of disability, resilience, identity, care, and the transformative power of creativity are at the heart of my practice.
Much of my art explores the quiet, unseen labour of caregiving — the exhaustion, devotion, grief, joy, and fierce determination to create beauty in the midst of challenge. My pieces are known for their textural depth, symbolic layering, and a visual language that blends vulnerability with strength.
I create to make the invisible visible. My practice is a space for reflection, storytelling, and connection, inviting viewers to consider the complexities of human experience and the many forms resilience can take. My process is intuitive and adaptive, shaped by the realities of daily life and the need to carve out moments of expression within a demanding caregiving environment.
My art is not only a personal outlet — it’s a way to advocate for disability visibility, celebrate neurodivergent perspectives, and honour the strength found in lived experience.
You can follow my creative journey, see works‑in‑progress, and hear about upcoming classes on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
As a Coach
Alongside my studio practice, I’m passionate about teaching and creative coaching. I facilitate mixed‑media workshops, community art sessions, and personalised coaching for emerging and established artists and makers who want to reconnect with their creative voice or learn new techniques.
My teaching approach is grounded in empathy, accessibility, and the belief that creativity belongs to everyone. As a neurodivergent artist, content creator, and carer, I create learning environments that are flexible, supportive, and responsive to diverse needs. I encourage experimentation, play, and intuition, helping participants build confidence in their own artistic language.
Whether I’m leading a hands‑on workshop or supporting someone through creative blocks in a one‑to‑one session, I bring patience, authenticity, and a deep respect for the transformative power of making. My coaching practice is an extension of my art — a way to build community, nurture resilience, and help others discover the joy and healing potential of creative expression.
Experience Rooted in Empathy
My work is deeply shaped by my lived experience of neurodiversity, and I bring that understanding to every stage of the creative process. I know firsthand how creative expression can become tangled with emotional, cognitive, and practical challenges, and I approach every session with patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to meeting you exactly where you are.
My goal is to help you untangle your creative mindset and equip you with guidance, tools, and knowledge that support your natural rhythm long‑term. Every solution I offer is personalised and shaped around your artistic process, your individual needs, and the way you naturally work.
I take a gentle, caring approach to the act of creating, helping you to ‘meet creativity with clarity’ so you can reconnect with your practice in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.
With patient guidance and hands‑on support, I’m passionate about restoring balance and harmony through creative practices. I support individuals and families throughout Canberra and surrounding areas to nurture mental well‑being through meaningful creative expression.
